Funwork Club

Greenwich has the "Funwork Club" for Children in our Care

In September 2014, we set up a social/homework club exclusively for Children in our Care in Greenwich called The Funwork Club. This is a club that is for 5-18 year olds, that runs on weekly basis during term time. Our flyer for the club is on the next page, take a look!!

If you are in our care in Greenwich we would love you to come and spend some time with us along with the other young people that already attend. People who will help you are the staff from the Virtual School,sport leaders and dance teachers, along with a number of Care Leavers: some of these are apprentices working for Greenwich and some are University students who are here to listen to you and help you to get the most out of all the opportunities that are around for you.

Since we have started the club we have had;

  • Reptiles Day Out - they brought along lizards, snakes, spiders, stick insects and many other small creatures
  • Trip to the seaside
  • Christmas parties
  • Easter parade/Egg hunt
  • Queens Tea Party
  • Picnic in the park
  • Movie nights
  • Face Painter
  • Ice Cream Van
  • Pancake Day
  • Different sports, football, badminton, archery, basketball, pool etc all taught by Charlton Athletic coaches
  • Many other activities

Every week we have our lovely cook who provides a meal for us all to sit together and enjoy. Sausages 'n' mash, pastas, roasts, curries, spag bol etc, followed by a dessert........YUMMY!!

So whether you are a budding singer, DJ, dancer, footballer or just want to come along to join in or have help with homework then our "Funwork Club" is the place to be!!!

If you are interested in attending the club with us, then please either inform your carer or contact us via our email address;
